It will also be an opportunity to strategize about affordable approaches to finding and funding the services your child requires. Here's an overview of the process:
If the DOE does not agree to settle:

Cynthia prepares you for hearing

Proceed to hearing

If decision is favorable receive funding within about 35 days
If the DOE approves the case for settlement:

Cynthia and DOE negotiate the terms

Cynthia drafts settlement agreement

Settlement submitted for Comptroller approval

If approved, parent receives funding within 35 days of DOE signature
